A standard Starlink installation involves mounting the satellite dish in a clear, high-view spot (roof or wall) using a heavy-duty bracket, followed by securing the dish to a mast with a pole mount adapter, we use aluminium and galvanised bracketry. The process includes running a 15 meter cable inside for the router, various other sizes are available from starlink.
Configure the setup via the Starlink app.
- Site Survey: Using the app to check for obstructions (trees, chimneys) to find the ideal location.
- Mounting: Installing a bracket (wall, chimney, facia, roof or ground) and securing the dish to a mast, ensuring it is secure against wind.
- Cable Management: Routing the provided Ethernet cable from the dish, usually through a gable wall, to the router.
- Activation: Powering on the router and using the app to finalize the internet setup.
- Professional Option: For simple installation to complex roofs and routing we usually charge between £180–£350, including all bracketry and pole adapter ensuring proper sealing discreet routing and placement and signal alignment.

Having read the previous reviews I called to see if a current installation (done by somebody else) could be upgraded. Tony and Pete were able to come the next day and exceeded expectations by agreeing to tidy up the previous installer’s work even though it wasn’t originally discussed.
