Having read the previous reviews I called to see if a current installation (done by somebody else) could be upgraded. Tony and Pete were able to come the next day and exceeded expectations by agreeing to tidy up the previous installer’s work even though it wasn’t originally discussed. Everything was done with a minimum of fuss and very efficiently and the installation looks and works far better than before. Very glad I chose them and would recommend wholeheartedly.

Satellite dish installation in Dundee

We cover 3 main types of installation, Foreign satellite installation, Freesat installation and Sky installation. If your looking for a satellite tv installation then you’ve come to the right place. A satellite dish is made up of a dish face, an arm and an LNB (low noise block), the dish face reflects the signals to the LNB which down converts the frequencies to transport the signals through the coax cable at high frequency so the loss is greater than aerial or radio signals. Generally there is not a great deal of difference with any satellite dish other than the type of LNB and the size.

Freesat dish installation and Sky dish installation

We install, service and repair sky and freesat installations which both require a sky dish. In our local area of Dundee, Tayside and Angus a zone 2 60cm is the correct satellite dish. The dish needs to be aligned to astra 28.2 degrees east. Freesat boxes can be supplied and we often carry reconditioned sky boxes for service repairs.

European satellite dish installation

For European satellite installation we have the appropriate size of satellite dish for the satellite that the dish needs to be aligned to. For foreign subscription channels you will need your satellite receiver from your country and we need to know which satellite the dish is to be aligned to, this information is available from your subscription company or the supplier of your satellite box. For European or foreign satellite dish installation you will generally need a larger dish and the size is dependant on the the transponders you wish to pick up like astra, hotbird, eutelsat, intelsat 1002, turksat, hellas etc. All of these transponders are different distances away covering different footprints. We will survey the area to find a clear line of sight using apps and digital satellite meters. When we find a clear line of sight we install the necessary bracketry and the dish alignment is set.
